Accumet Celebrates 50 Years at the Forefront of American Engineering

In 1970, when Accumet Engineering Corporation first opened its doors, the American landscape was post-industrial, but pre-automation. But in a small factory in Hudson, Massachusetts, the future of American manufacturing was being engineered by a handful of forward-thinkers.

Our accomplishments over the last 50 years include:

• * Moving from paper job tickers and spreadsheets of the past to a fully integrated ERP system

• * Continual investments and improvements in manufacturing and test equipment
•  
• * Completing ISO and AS9100 Certification and maintaining that quality standard since 2005
•  
• * Merging with fellow manufacturing pioneer Laser Services in Devens, MA, to pave the way for pure dominance in advanced materials processing
•  
• * Being recognized as an industry leader by Microwaves and RF Magazine
•  

As we close out the past 50 years, we do so with a renewed sense of purpose and determination. Now more than ever, we recognize the value of everyday heroes. The challenges posed by COVID-19 have seemed, at times, insurmountable. It is by the tireless work of community heroes who have stood on the front lines of a global emergency and the commitment from our team that we are able to continue producing the life-saving parts and materials on which so many people depend.

We are also grateful for our customers and suppliers who have stood with us through so many years. To think of where we started, to where we are now, is truly amazing.  From typewriters to wireless printers, manual measurement tools, precise laser and welding machines, to automated quality test equipment. So much is different than it was in 1970, yet so much remains the same - our dedication to our customers, our commitment to excellence and our desire to stay at the forefront of our industry. Where will the next 50 years take us? Only time will tell.
