Recognizing the need for more precise substrates, Accumet was founded in 1970 and is dedicated to providing extremely tight tolerances and super fine finishes. Accumet has developed several unique cutting, lapping, and polishing techniques to achieve extremely tight tolerances with repeatability and consistency from piece to piece. With our exact specifications and prompt delivery, Accumet can meet or exceed customer requirements.

Accumet offers a complete ultra-precision service for grinding, lapping, polishing, diamond sawing, and laser machining. As well as sizing a wide variety of metals (ferrous and non-ferrous), carbide, ceramic, sapphire and other materials for industrial and scientific applications, including telecommunications, semiconductors, communications, test and measurement, microelectronics, defense and security industries.

These parts can be made to specifications or blanks can be machined to any final size and surface finish. Our unique machining enables us to process rings, seals, and many other shapes to fine surface finishes and tolerances. Accumet Engineering’s capabilities include lapping, polishing, laser machining, diamond sawing, edge grinding, od/id grinding, tumbling and filled-via planarity process. If you have a requirement that is not listed, we can provide the technical excellence to assist you in locating or developing a process to fill your needs. Test & Measurement

Test and measurement equipment used in daily operations includes micrometers, calipers, dial indicator, optical comparator, microscopes, and surface analyzer.

Accumet's test and measurement equipment include our new Dragon Fire SPI-150 grazing incidence interferometer, which is capable of measuring flatness to twenty millionths of an inch (.000020''). Our Dragon Fire TS-150 Triangular sensor instrument is capable of measuring flatness from .0009'' (25 microns) to two millimeters (.0787'').

The above two pieces of equipment allow Accumet to measure flatness from 20 millionths through two millimeters to provide excellence in performance.

Laser Services

All Accumet's customers have the added benefit of tapping into our sister company, Laser Services, with years of experience in contract laser cutting, drilling, marking, etching, scribing, and welding. As a progressive supply chain partner, Laser Services stocks a variety of ceramic materials, metals, frozen epoxies, and adhesives to service your just-in-time delivery requirements. They also offer kitting, assembly, and secondary processing steps, such as painting, to consolidate your supply chain and get your products to market fast.
