Quartz GE 124 (SiO2)

Quartz GE 124 is a pure fused quartz, made from crystalline silica. This material is very similar to fused silica, However, it has less transmission in the UV spectrum and much lower OH content. It is often used because of its chemical resistance, good thermal shock resistance, and low thermal expansion coefficient.
