99.6% Alumina (Al2O3) is standard for thin film substrates and circuit's generation. It is smoother and has fewer surface defects because of it's high purity and smaller grain size. Alumina (AlN) is one of the most widely specified, general-purpose technical ceramics. It is very hard and wear resistant, with high compressive strength, making it suitable for high-intensity environments.
